ABOUT US
At Pups Unleashed, we believe that training should be a joy for both ends of the leash, and are proud to use science-backed positive reinforcement/force-free methods. Our mission is to help you build a bond with your dog based on mutual trust and cooperation, not fear or intimidation.
We're here to show you how worthwhile rewards-based training can be for you and your dog, one household at a time. No matter what you've tried in the past, we're 100% judgement-free.
From puppy basics to advanced obedience, we will meet you and your dog exactly where you are. Whether you choose in-home training or small group classes, we'll help you and your dog live your best lives by teaching essential commands and manners in a fun, stress-free environment.
Dog training has significantly evolved in the past decade.
Did you know?
Large scale genetic sequencing and rigourous cognitive testing have replaced old myths - like dominance and "alpha" theories - with objective, data-backed evidence about how dogs actually think, feel, and learn.
Choose to Teach Your Dog Love
At a psychological level, force-free methodology is the difference between teaching a dog to work to earn something good, versus teaching a dog to work to avoid something uncomfortable. What does this mean for you and your dog?
Reward What Works
We teach your dog what to do, rather than just punishing them for what they do wrong. This way, they make the right choice because they want to, not because they are afraid you will make a correction.
Build Trust
Science shows that dogs learn faster, retain more, and build deeper bonds with their humans when taught without fear, pain, or intimidation.
No Harsh Tools
We never use prong collars, shock collars (e-collars), or choke chains. Instead, we use treats, play, praise, and real-life rewards to safely and effectively motivate your dog.
