Allison is an amazing trainer and me and my family could not be happier, and more impressed, with the work she has done for our dog.  We have a 120 pound male Rottweiler that is highly reactive and deals with tremendous anxiety.  As a puppy he couldn’t pass even a parked car, let alone dogs or other people, without either being to scared to pass or going into a complete fit of rage.  That reactivity and anxiety resulted in him being unable to be around people in our home or neighborhood, other than our family, as he was constantly defaulting to an aggressive posture given his guard dog nature. 

Allison has worked with our dog consistently for 2 years and provided not only incredible training to allow him to improve in environments that might normally being triggering but also giving us the skills to know when a scenario might be triggering and how to help him get through it.  She genuinely cares about the animals she works with and provides both the discipline and warmth needed to help your dogs become the best version of themselves. 

The ultimate reflection of Allison’s talents is in the fact that we just had my wife’s parent stay with us in our family home over the holidays and co-exist with our Rottweiler without issue or concern.  That type of interaction would have never been possible a year ago nor without Allison’s training.

After a lot of research we bought a brand new Cane Corso puppy 4 years ago knowing that training would be a full time endeavor.  We were lucky to connect with Allison.  Allison didn’t just train our dog, she managed an entire behavior process which included training us as dog owners, and also our young granddaughter.  

Today, everything Allison said and taught us still resonates.  When you have a 135 lb dog who by design is built to protect us from others, understanding effective use of key commands, actions and tone is critical.  Our dog listens and responds to commands, has self control, and from her Pups Unleashed training, is highly motivated to please us.  It’s something to see our 10 year old granddaughter command a dog to perfection using words, gestures and treats. 

Four years later, we still gladly pay for Allison to come to our home for training brush ups, and usually the corrections are our behavior, not the dogs.   If you are serious about being a responsible dog owner, big or small, I highly recommend you make the time and financial investment in Pups Unleashed.  You will be glad you did.  She is a strong advocate for the dog and creates an expectation for owner involvement and commitment.  Not sure where we would be without her.
